As a member of the North America Supply Chain team, the Statistical Forecast Transformation Analyst will actively manage statistical forecast modeling and analytics to drive improved accuracy and reporting for all items in the North American portfolio.  This role will manage data integrity, historical adjustments, and all other functions of the Atlas forecasting system, with a focus on driving optimization to results and processes.  Additionally, this position will be responsible for analyzing all available data from a primary distributor and collaborating cross-functionally to influence improvements.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with statistical forecast generation within a forecasting system and data manipulation and analysis.  The key to success will be a passion for driving change through data analysis.

Your main responsibilities
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Statistical Forecast Management

  • Review historical sales trends to identify and address outliers impacting statistical output

  • Prepare baseline forecast data through use of system based statistical forecast models

  • Evaluate and report on forecast results

  • Review forecast accuracy to propose adjustments to drive improvement to future forecasts

  • Effectively communicate baseline forecast trends to cross-functional team during monthly meetings

  • Prepare and monitoring forecast KPI's on a regular cadence

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional team through excellent listening and communication skills

  • Build new product launch and item transition forecasts to generate accurate demand projections

  • Provide input to inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product discontinuations or delists

  • Identify areas in need of improvement and create and present recommendations

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to implement process improvements

  • Learn processes and systems utilized within all functions across the Supply Chain

  • Atlas Data Integrity

  • Act as subject matter expert and Supply Chain owner of John Galt Atlas forecasting system

  • Maintain and validate system data sources in collaboration with IT

  • Scope and propose system improvements to find efficiencies and improve accuracy

  • Review imported data for inaccuracies and address and resolve

  • Maintain item properties and transition timing in Atlas

  • Process requests to add new items to Atlas

  • Upload Sales Forecast submission to Atlas and verify data matches expectation

  • Monitor Atlas data in comparison with data exported to internal reporting tool and address variances

  • Distributor Management

  • Analyze all available data sources and team member inputs to identify root cause of order fulfillment issues

  • Create and implement excel based tools as needed to improve processes and execution

  • Analyze distributor order patterns in total and by division against distributor forecast and internal forecast

  • Identify and communicate proposed changes to distributor forecast

  • Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business curriculum

  • Minimum of 4 years of statistical forecast modeling experience, preferably with a global CPG company

  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, PPT, and Word) and ERP/Forecasting System experience required, SAP and John Galt/Atlas preferred
