Associate Manager, Insights
Consumer and Shopper Insights:
Leverage data and research tools to drive strong consumer and shopper insights; influencing our media targets, new product innovation, brand and shopper marketing strategy, and key retailer activation/sell-in across all of the Storck US brands.
Develop custom research reports by collaborating with brand/marketing or sales team to align on goals/outcomes of research. Work directly with both outside agencies and our own internal tools to design, execute, and analyze custom research. Own projects by translating results into clear and actionable insights to help drive decision making and influence thinking both within Storck locally and with our International Marketing team in Germany as well as with our key retailer partners.
Create a wide range of custom analyses leveraging both point of sale scanner and panel data to answer key business questions. Examples include: measuring of marketing program effectiveness, tracking new product launches, monitoring trends, and understanding the impact of a competitive launch.
Exhibit innovative thinking through analyzing the candy category and broad reaching consumer and shopper/retail trends, using any and all tools at our disposal to bring creative thinking and thought leadership to light. Ability to combine various sources of information (scanner, panel, ad-hoc research, 3rd party reports) into a concise and compelling story with a clear call to action.
Collaborate with marketing and sales planning teams to face any growing business challenges and questions through ad-hoc support. Our small but dedicated marketing and salesteam works in a flexible and highly collaborative manner to rise to the occasion and do what is needed to make timely and informed decisions.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of IRI or Nielsen scan and panel data strongly preferred
Experience executing retailer specific research and developing presentations for retail customers beneficial
Experience with custom research and survey development beneficial
Energetic and action oriented individual sought
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required; degree in Business, Communication, Psychology or Liberal Arts preferred and two to three years related experience in the consumer goods industry preferred.
