The SAP Business Project Analyst will act as an information resource, project manager, and communicator between IT and our internal business departments in the US and Canada to understand the strategic business needs and plans for growth. This role will assess, recommend, and implement IT projects in order to enhance the quality of IT products and services in partnership and consultation with our International IT Department. This will include analyzing the design of technical systems and business models translating business needs to IT solutions, and vice versa, with current programs, projects and initiatives in mind. This person will also serve as the SAP system “subject matter expert” in North America. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented and highly innovative with experience in both information technology and business administration.

Your main responsibilities
  • Business Support:

  • Manage and maintain ERP system

  • Manage and maintain SAP system; act as “subject matter expert” to optimize, troubleshoot, and maintain SAP system requirements with inputs from internal business departments in partnership and consultation with International IT.

  • Manage internal Data-warehouse; act as in-house SME for all aspects of SAP Business Intelligence. 

  • Develop internal business process workflows.  Train users on proper BPMN workflow design techniques.

  • Project Management:

  • Facilitate and deliver as an information source, project manager, and communicator between IT and our internal business departments in the US and Canada to understand the strategic business needs and plans for growth

  • Create and manage project plans; define and manage project schedules and resources

  • Assess, recommend, and implement projects – including managing and coordinating multiple projects at a time and coordinate local change management efforts to implement projects (awareness, communication, training)

  • Work closely with EDI Analysts and Department heads to receive feedback, assess, analyze and implement solutions

  • On SAP related projects, maintain and serve as first point of contact/subject matter expert and liaise with International IT colleagues

Your qualifications
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent Project Management skills

  • ERP Systems experience and knowledge

  • Data-warehouse experience

  • Business Process Workflow experience, BPM Notation experience preferred

  • Education and Experience:

  • Five (5) or more years in project management experience in IT

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field preferred, but not required

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification preferred

  • SAP experience preferred

  • SQL experience preferred

  • EDI knowledge is a plus

  • Experience (business knowledge) in CPG, Warehousing or Transportation environments and industries is a plus

  • Excellent communication skills and strong analytical and organization skills; including effective interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact across a range of personality types, and ability to influence without authority

  • Able to multitask in fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • Detail-oriented
