Senior Walmart Business Analyst
Located in Bentonville, Arkansas
Managerial Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Own the large volume of Walmart Sales Data using Retail Link, IRI/Nielsen and be the expert in developing fact based sales stories utilizing the analytical tools
Initiate and perform business analyses, identify issues and opportunities and make recommendations to the Walmart Team Lead and the Walmart Team with respect to:
Weekly POS/ROS analysis on the total Walmart business
Product Distribution & Pricing
Customer and Class-of-Trade Performance
Forecasting Accuracy & Analysis
Merchandising Effectiveness & Shelf Placement
Partner and support the Walmart team to effectively serve Walmart by:
Owning the item set up process. Ensuring all new items, pricing, seasonal and other set up specific topics are done correctly and timely to ensure clean implementation at shelf
Being the Storck point person with Walmart Replenishment ensuring Walmart forecasting is correct making adjustment recommendations directly to Walmart as needed
Working directly with McLane Bentonville to ensure the seamless implementation of all item set up and forecasting
Being the Storck Anderson analysis point person to communicate internally the effectiveness of Anderson programs and use data to bring ideas for further opportunities for growth
Mining consumer and category insights to identify Walmart opportunities
Developing and presenting category research findings/implications to Walmart and make recommendations based on sales/research analysis
In conjunction with the Walmart Team, develop annual volume and promotional plans and key monthly forecasting perspective
Represent Walmart monthly forecast in Pre-Consensus/production meetings
Engaging with the Walmart Team to build knowledge of how information we provide can be consistently useful and impactful to sales
Providing analytical support during Walmart sales calls
Serve as the Walmart Analytical Lead by developing consistent and compelling Walmart specific programs designed to attain leading edge competitive positions at Walmart. Including:
Serve as an 'internal consultant’ providing strategic thinking and perspective
Lead, facilitate, and develop overall strategic objectives and category management goals for Walmart serving as the liaison between internal and external team members
Become internal expert on competitive activity and competitive analysis.
Develop and maintain competitor profiles
Evaluation of flexible, customized programs and packs to Walmart
Ensure all communication, reports, analysis performance for Walmart are accurate, timely, and consistent.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business curriculum
Minimum 3 years of category management, customer/shopper marketing, or sales planning experience; preferably with a CPG company.
Working Conditions: Normal working conditions for an office environment based in Bentonville, Arkansas.
Travel: Position may require up to 20%, mainly Domestic US.
