This individual is a part of the marketing team, and will lead shopper marketing development and application of insights to inform strategy, contribute to brand and sales plans, and deliver against critical business objectives across all commerce (in-store and online). This person will be the liaison between brand and customer to ensure programs are optimized to satisfy objectives and KPIs of both areas.
Shopper Marketing Manager
Program Development - Leverage category, shopper, brand, and retailer insights and their related dynamics to develop and execute breakthrough solutions for our brands in our retailers; develop in store communication solutions for program execution.
Financial & Business Acumen - Understand and apply internal and customer business drivers and metrics for profitable results; create and operate in a test & learn environment, develop and track against Shopper KPIs, and manage shopper budgets.
Business Planning - Ability to facilitate, develop, and execute comprehensive business plans with cross-functional support.
Project & Change Management - Develop and execute clear, logical project and implementation plans that include cross-functional collaboration and inspires commitments for change; lead day to day execution of retailer specific shopper programming.
Collaborative Selling - Assist customer (sales) teams in shaping and presenting the retailer sell-in.
Annual Planning - Develop annual retail marketing plans for assigned customer and brands.
Agency Management - Identify and vet external partners, manage partners by developing project briefs, managing timelines, managing internal legal review, and final approval of all promotional elements.
Digital Footprint - Support development of plans to win in digital with the retailers through ecommerce, media, and personalization.
Continuous Learning - Actively stay current with the evolving shopper landscape, particularly the increasing role of new channels and technology in the shopping experience.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities at this time.

Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Foundational understanding of shopper insight identification
Advanced presentation skills - both preparing in PowerPoint and delivering to an audience
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA degree with emphasis in Marketing preferred.
Five to seven years of retail marketing experience.
Proven results from a customer-facing role.
Developing and Executing Shopper Marketing Strategies and Plans with agency partners.
Working Conditions: Normal working conditions for an office environment located downtown Chicago, IL.
Travel: 20-25%, including International Travel.
