Supply Chain Analyst

The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for executing both demand forecasting and supply planning processes.  Collaborate with cross-functional business teams to make judgment based forecast adjustments.  Partner with international colleagues to optimize inventory coverage while avoiding out of stock or excess situations.  Become the Supply Chain expert for assigned brands and act as back-up for all other brands.  Execute detailed order tracking compared to forecast and work cross-functionally to resolve any issues.  The candidate should be a motivated individual with strong analytical skills who enjoys diving into data, drawing conclusions, and recommending solutions to enhance the business.  The keys to success will be a strong interest in teamwork and collaboration, a desire to learn, a passion for applying analytics to decisions, and an internal drive to own their impact on the company.

Your main responsibilities
  • Demand and Supply Planning for Assigned Brands:

  • Analyze historical trend and statistical information to recommend forecast adjustments

  • Maintain cross-functional forecasting process for assigned brands within key performance metrics

  • Supervise short-range forecasts vs. capacities to identify and prevent service problems and inventory overstocks

  • Communicate any service issues related to stock availability and coordinate resolution

  • Effectively manage inventory coverage levels on all items at all warehouses accounting for inventory freshness

  • Effectively coordinate Supplier shipments to ensure timely arrival with lead-times

  • Main contact for Customer Service for resolution of all supply issues on assigned brands

  • Maintain optimal balance of inventory between warehouse locations through inter-warehouse transfers and DC level forecast corrections

  • General:

  • Review reports and recommend productivity and efficiency improvements

  • Prepare in-depth analyses regarding specific topics as requested

  • Support and assist project teams focused on special requests

  • Create and maintain process documentation for all reporting responsibilities

  • Proof read and review finished work product for accuracy and completeness

  • Excellent problem solving ability with demonstrated experience managing situations through facts and data

  • Strong analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze, interpret, and present results

  • Demonstrated decision making ability through utilization of all available resources

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to different levels and requirements of the internal organization

  • Effectively provide clear and concise feedback to external customers

  • Demonstrated ability to perform both quantitative and qualitative analysis

  • Ability to evaluate the value added through processes and analysis and make decisions accordingly

  • Understand and adapt to requirements of multiple internal and external customers

  • Maintain composure when challenged

  • MS Office expertise with a focus in Excel

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and adapt to multiple priorities

  • Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree with a focus in business required

  • Minimum two (2) to four (4) years’ experience, preferably with a CPG company
