The Supply Chain Optimization Leader will actively identify areas for improvement across the Supply Chain and partner with process and system owners to implement change.  This role will actively seek to become a subject matter expert across all functions of the supply chain, including logistics, demand and supply planning, and customer operations.  The ideal candidate will have a broad experience across Supply Chain functions as well as a proven track record in KPI development and measurement, cost saving initiatives, and tool development.  Keys to success will be a strong drive for collaboration, a continuous improvement mindset, and strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Your main responsibilities
  • Learn processes and systems utilized within all functions across the Supply Chain

  • Actively seek knowledge and partner with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in processes and systems

  • Research and develop proposed improvement plans

  • Create and implement excel based tools as needed to improve processes

  • Scope and propose system improvements to find efficiencies and improve accuracy

  • Prioritize open projects based on complexity, importance, and cost

  • Identify and report on risks associated with projects

  • Motivate partners to accept change

  • Supply Chain projects and initiatives include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop KPI’s and measurement tools and communication methods

  • Improve existing freight invoice audit process

  • Replace tools used for corrugate ordering and management

  • Increase transparency and accuracy of claim reporting in partnership with Finance

  • Optimize display offerings and forecasting in partnership with Project Management and Sales Planning

  • Implement standardized process documentation to facilitate cross-functional training

  • Identify logistics cost savings opportunities in collaboration with the Logistics Manager

  • Broad knowledge of supply chain including planning, forecasting, logistics, and customer operations

  • Strong ability to develop and enforce processes and timelines throughout the organization

  • Organized, detail oriented, and able to balance competing priorities

  • Team player who works well in a collaborative environment and shares information freely and is approachable by all levels of the organization

  • Business acumen and the ability to quickly learn technical systems

  • Ability to interpret confusing topics and translate easily into action items

  • Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business curriculum

  • Minimum of 5 years of supply chain experience preferably with a CPG company
